Fifteen

This is where Porter could be found for the entire weekend. Whether the 4-wheeler was running or not, this is where he could be found. He would stay there for hours at a time.

Kyle and I are considering buying a broken down 4-wheeler, just for Porter to climb all over all day long.

Eleven

Learned how to play tether-ball at my parents. Found out I had been playing it wrong all these years...

Really fun game once you know how to play... Porter enjoyed it too.

Nine

Forgot the camera today while we were out and about. So I pulled out Kyle's lovely little phone and snapped a few photos of one of the best places to eat.
(Porter playing with the jukebox)
If you're ever in the St. George area, I highly recommend stopping in at Larsen's Frostop. Good food.
I highly recommend the sweet potato fries with marshmallow dipping sauce.

Life as you know it will never be the same.

And, after life-altering fries, we headed to the park and the splash pad to let the little ones get some energy out.

Eight

My Grampa Hubert would eat anything that was burnt.... puts hair on your chest, he said.

I avoid things that are burnt for that very reason.

I'd hate to find out he was right the hard way.

One

Today we started off with a bit of a surprise. It started by a phone call from Jill to tell us that this little package had arrived.

We hopped in the car and headed down to greet our newest little niece.

Capri Lauren.

Congratulations you three.

 She's perfect.

It was a great day to start to my project.

30 days.

That's the goal... thirty days.

I've heard of Project 365 many times. I always thought it was a great idea and that I would probably enjoy doing it, but I also knew that it would take a lot of dedication. After stumbling onto a blog a few weeks ago I was inspired, and I decided it was something I really wanted to do. I also realized that it may just be an easier way to blog (a photo, some words, and I'm done).  I'm all about making things easier.

However, being my cautious-uncertain self, I decided that I needed to start out a little smaller. Just to get a taste of what I might be getting myself into. So, the goal is a photo a day for thirty days.

And who knows, maybe if I enjoy it, maybe I will have to continue it and turn my project 30 into a project 365.

I called my sister Angie one night, and told her what I wanted to do and asked her if she wanted to join in. I told her that there was no rush, I was planning on starting on June 1st. I told her the blogs I had found for inspiration and told her to call me to let me know if she wanted to do it or not. She wasted no time and called me the next morning with her simple reply, "I'm in."

So, you can follow Angie too if you want.

As it turns out, Angie and I share the cautious/uncertain genes, as well as an impulsive/impatient gene. Hence the reason we won't be waiting until June 1st to start. We'll start tomorrow, May 17th.
And since I don't feel right about posting without a picture... here's one with a cute little redhead. Just for your viewing pleasure.
See you tomorrow...

Sand Mountain

Yesterday we headed out past Sand Hollow Reservoir and went on a drive to Sand Mountain.

It ended up being the perfect way to wear out the boys. Porter ran up and down the dunes all morning. I don't know where he was headed, it seemed like he just wandered aimlessly. But he wouldn't stop.

We took trucks, buckets and shovels to dig with, and a cardboard box to slide down the hills on.
The boys had so much fun.
We left a little late in the morning and it didn't take long for the sand to start heating up. So, we didn't end up staying very long.
We'll definitely be back, but we'll have to start out a little earlier in the day.
