We interrupt our Easter posting...

his voice got very quiet and soft when I heard him whisper, "I'm a princess" and I turned around to see this...

I have to say, I never thought my bra would EVER be posted on the blog; and I think Kyle's going to be pushing for a motorcycle for Porter's birthday.

Easter #1

I was working all Easter weekend, so we decided to do Easter a little early and celebrate on Friday before the boys all took off for Moab.

These little boys had so much fun looking for their Easter baskets and really enjoyed all the candy.

It was funny to watch the boys and see the differences between the two of them.  I'm always surprised at how similar they are and yet at the same time they have such differences. Things that show their personality.
Bridger would eat as he went. Open an egg, eat candy, open egg, eat candy. He doesn't get hung up on little details... all he sees are eggs and he knows that there is candy in them. That's all he needs to know.

Porter opts to open every egg first and empty the contents so he could pick out what he wanted to eat first, second, third etc. He's very methodical in his approach to anything, and opening his candy wasn't any different.

I love these boys.

The eggs

Bridger loved watching the eggs... I don't know what there was to see, but he put his face right down next to the glass to watch them.

Porter loved all the details in dying the eggs. Coloring with the crayons, putting stickers on the eggs... he's all into the details.
This little guy thought it was funny to pretend to drink the dye.
You can see Porter in the background... he was attaching no less than 50 stickers to a single egg.

Can you tell which one Porter spent the most time on?

Zion's Park

This past weekend we decided to head out to Zion's National Park. The boys were happy to get out of the house and "climb a mountain".
It was a beautiful weekend and we look forward to more hikes this year.

Just in case you missed it.

This beautiful little blonde haired blue eyed boy turned 2. He's getting so big, and if that's not enough, he turned 2 on March 17th. We had a fun little party with just the four of us. His favorite breakfast of chocolate donuts with sprinkles, followed by opening presents. Then we headed to Jumpin' Jacks where we let the boys jump to their hearts content. Then it was back home for cake. I know... it's not as impressive as Porter's cake was last year. Not by a long shot. But I just couldn't make it in time. That's alright though, cause next year I'll make up for it. And I don't think he really cared. Cake is cake right?
At age 2 Bridger...
*Loves to eat fruit, any and all kinds.
*LOVES Buzz Lightyear and anything that relates to him. He runs around yelling "To nfinty and beyond!"
*Still sucks his thumb and it's getting more frequent.
*Loves his green blanket from Gramma M. and must sleep with it nightly. The new birthday blanket from Kari, however, is a solid second. It can be used interchangeably now.
*Is still very lactose intolerant, but loves yogurt. We use Lactaid pills and they work great. I think I need to take stock in Lactaid products... it looks like we're going to use a lot of them.
*Loves to swim and asks to go daily.
*Talks like crazy. He sings songs with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Hey Daddy there's a Dragon in the Driveway being his favorites.
*He's so much fun to play with, always happy and always has a smile on his face.
*Is a little accident prone. Just this week he got his legs stuck in his crib involving a 10 minute extrication with vaseline. And the following night he was "sword fighting" with Porter and fell onto the coffee table... cheek first. It has swollen to twice it's normal size and has a nice star shaped bruise in the middle of it.
*Still gives the best hugs imaginable... he completely sinks into you with each one.
*Has the most beautiful blue eyes... you could swim in them.
*Oh, and I almost forgot... he's fairly well potty-trained during the daylight hours.

Happy Birthday Briggs...
Love you sweets.
