December catch-up...minus Christmas

December started out with our usual Christmas kick-off. A yummy dinner of glazed ham and dutch potatoes followed by putting up the tree, decorating and then watching Christmas movies.

The boys really liked decorating the tree this year, especially when they found they ornaments they had picked out last year.
And Bridger was so excited that it was his year to put the star on the top of the tree. He carried the star around with him all night long until it was time.
Then it was up to Momma and Daddy's bed to watch The Grinch in our jammies... always one of my favorite nights and one that I look forward to every year.

Family night at the Hobby Lobby, picking out this years ornaments. They had several that they debated between until the Angry Bird ornaments caught their eyes.
Of course we couldn't pass up the Angry Birds, and better yet, they were plush and indestructible... how can you go wrong?
One day we headed to Old Navy... the boys were going to have a pajama party at school and they wanted new pajamas. And we all know how much Momma loves Old Navy jammies, so when I noticed that they were half off, I had to grab myself a pair.
Sadly the boys came down with strep throat before their party and they weren't able to go to school for it... so we had a pajama day of our own at home in our new pajamas.
Another day we headed out to Color Me Mine to make a present for Daddy. This is something we'll have to repeat, the boys loved it... and so did Mommy.

Instead of the gingerbread trains that we've made in years past, I took the easy way out when I found a gingerbread kit at Costco. The boys loved them. Both to eat and to decorate!
And of course, writing letters to Santa.

Porter wanted one thing this year. A paddle ball. That was it, he didn't want to ask for anything else. He figured he could ask for other things next year, but this year he just wanted a paddle ball.

And Bridger wanted an alligator. Not sure what kind, but he wanted an alligator.
It was a good month. Busy, but good. I'm always amazed at how quickly the holidays go.

I'm sure hoping Porter got his paddle ball and Bridger got his alligator.
